rainbow-turned-mexican blanket

so after I made the rainbow granny squares blanket,  I had the rainbow colours leftover. I made them into a random stripe pattern, and somehow they turned into mexican colours! needless to say, my mom loved it. and she stole it. this is an example of how the zig-zag pattern looks with smaller yarn. it's pretty, but it takes a lot longer to make!
